The Nissan Juke - Our September rental Car of the Month

More Distinctive than Diminutive – The Nissan Juke

The SUV sector is one of the most competitive categories in car manufacturing, with every major car brand competing to produce a car which, whether or not a car has any serious off-road ability, has the look of a car which does. The compact crossover sector is an offshoot from this hotly contested sector, filled with cars which have the chunky, rugged look of an SUV, but in a smaller bodyshell. While motor manufacturers have flocked to make their mark in this grouping, the Nissan Juke is probably the first and arguably the most dominant car within it and certainly one of the most distinctive cars on the road. Such a distinctive and unashamedly niche car couldn’t fail to attract our attention and the Juke take pride of place as our hire car of the month for September.

Why would you hire a Nissan Juke?

More to the point, why wouldn’t you? The Juke is Fun with a capital ‘F’! Even after a few years of familiarity, the lines of the Nissan Juke are still head turningly distinctive and the Juke simply cannot be mistaken for any other car, from any angle. Fun and funky on the outside, the Juke is just as unique inside. The centre console takes its design cues from motorcycles and the dash is awash with multicoloured lights and screens. The Nissan Juke was introduced in 2010, but the quirky, chunky futuristic design of the dash and cabin can’t help but put you in mind of Bruce Willis’ taxi in cult Sci-Fi classic The Fifth Element! Ignore what Jeremy Clarkson has to say and make your own mind up, there’s something irresistibly entertaining about Nissan’s compact crossover.

September’s Car of the Month – The Nissan Juke

The Nissan Juke is a bit of a marmite-mobile – some people love them with a passion, others aren’t so keen, but one thing the Juke definitely isn’t is ‘ordinary’. If you want a car that corners like it’s on rails, go for BMW 3 series, if you want a car dripping with luxury trimmings, we have Range Rovers just waiting to be rented, if cruising the motorways all day is high on your list of priorities, then a Vauxhall Insignia might well have your name on it, but if you want to smile every time you look at a car and feel as excited as a 10 year old everytime you go for a drive, then the Nissan Juke make very well be the car you’ll fall in love with, making this groundbreaking, unmistakeable, sector launching car, a worthy recipient of our rental car of the month accolade.

Get in touch with us today to take one of our Nissan Jukes out for a spin and prepare yourself to not want to give it back!
